Centered on The Removed by Brandon Hobson, this box focuses on the experiences of the long shadow of the Trail of Tears on the experiences of a family reeling from their own personal loss. Shifting focus from mother to daughter to son and back, the novel highlights how grief is a private place further darkened by collective and ancestral trauma.
